2BD – SPST bimetallic thermostat
Bimetallic thermostats SPST with fixed calibration for temperature control, available with different types of fixing and terminal design, different intervention and differential temperatures, with silver or gold-plated contacts Normally Open Normally Closed, with or without manual reset / one shot / trip free.
The bimetallic disc inside with a snap movement changes its position when the temperature is reached; the change of position of the bimetallic disk opens or closes the electrical contact through the internal movement.
The main advantages are the instant opening/closing of the electrical contact, which reduces sparking and therefore prolongs the life of the component itself, and the reliability of the change of state of the bimetallic disk when the intervention temperature is reached.
Possible calibration ranges: from 0°C up to + 320°C (depends on the model)
